Becoming

Virginia Steatite/Chloride/Limestone

aprox 14" tall

I loved the way the raw stone suggested a profile to me. The other half of the face is fulled formed so she is in the process of becoming whole. The back seems to be coming out of the block of stone. There are chisel marks suggesting the process of creation.The limestone retains some of its blocky form..still not ready to fully become the female form.
